May 19, 201412 yr Hello guys, i have a question, I have fsx and radar contact installed. Now i installed P3D and i don't know how to switch radar contact to P3D. Do i need a new installation of RC4? Thanks in advance
May 19, 201412 yr Federico, What I did is copy and paste the entire RC4X directory, create a second link to RC4 on my desktop then launched that copy of RC4 and rebuilt the scenery from the RC4 user interface as usual. I would really like JD to build a P3D installer only because I want to give him some more money, such is the enjoyment that RC4 has given me since I first bought the CD in something like 2006
May 20, 201412 yr Make sure you update fsuipc4 so it will handle p3dv22 and check out the notes on it: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/ Makerwys should also be updated and placed in your P3D folder: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/ When you copy the rcv4x folder to your new rcv4p folder (as renamed) be sure you place it on the same drive letter volume so your existing key should work. Be sure you set the correct paths in your new rcv4p folder copied from your FSX rcv4x folder after you create a shortcut to it and set the shortcut properties in the first and second (advanced) properties window to run as admin. Use that shortcut now to start RC and run the scenery rebuild giving it now the P3D path instead of your FSX path. When setting up paths by browsing in RC, never cancel out of the explorer type pop-up or it will corrupt rcv3.dat and keyboard.dat files. It is a good idea to back these two files up in your documents or other area to avoid a possible reinstall. The first time you load a flightplan it will open up a window in your Flight Simulator X folder. Just browse to the folder where your P3D plans are stored if different. Same with setting the flt/wx paths in RC.
