May 21, 201412 yr Hi Guys, Don't know what changes have been made to Active Sky Next, but I like what I'm seeing. Aside from the weather, the added benefit of having a weather gauge that works from within the V/C is very nice. I like how the program depicts the three thunderheads that are forming but has ignored all the other clouds. May 21, 201412 yr Author Hi, I have been able to maintain 26 - 30FPS (more importantly - smooth performance) while using the iFly 737NG with weather radar or terrain active. I run FTG Global, REX 4 Texture Direct, iFly 737NG and ASN at a resolution of 5760x1200x32. I think its great, I may even get another GTX690... Once SLI is utilized to the fullest. May 22, 201412 yr Cool! Performance is acceptable; any crashes, assorted problems? I was going to buy the MD80 but I found out there's no download option, so I need a short range tubeliner. I have the Aerosoft Airbus which is really a neat piece of work, if only a bit too automatic for my taste .... Tnx again Andrea
May 22, 201412 yr Author Hi, I have no problems with the aircraft. However, they do mention a few quirks on their web site as shown below. Important Notes for P3D 2.0 Users: We are aware of some light issues with P3D v2, at this stage we are monitoring to see if it is a P3D v2 display issue due to new DX 11 graphics engine or a change in the core engine that they can fix or if it will require and update from us. The white/green/red wing nav lights don’t always activate correctly. If the sim is started in night time then they work fine. P3Dv2 introduced a bug that prevents NAV lights to work correctly in some situations. Here is a workaround: First fully load-up/start with a default P3Dv2 aircraft at the gate/stand or runway, then switch and load your iFly aircraft. Then all NAV lights work any time of day.
