with my monitor, that is wrong

split screen output? what is that?

 

It has two listings of outputs, BASIC (which contains the 4K; but no x1080, like you said, but does has a x1200 instead, and a x1050 amongst others ), can still be used for movies, but can flicker at 30Hz

and HDTV, 60Hz available maybe even 120; with a few others than the common x1080i and x1080p, which I use for movies etc...

 

This may not be the case with the monitors reviewed in your referenced article , ?

 

I will try it later I just got up and have to go to an office soon
