May 25, 201412 yr Think it was Harald that mentioned in the screenshots thread, that these models were cheap at the Nemeth site. Indeed they were, so I picked up the remaining FS9 models I didn't have. I can't find any differences between pay-and freeware Eurocopters! Anybody know any different?
May 25, 201412 yr That puzzled me too yesterday when I happened across their site on another matter. I remember being somewhat cross since I had purchased the Colibri, Xmas before last on special, when I noticed the EC-120, also a B model, in the freeware section. Unlike you Wingz I don't want an answer since I may get very upset. :diablo:
May 25, 201412 yr Author Mmm so sorry to raise the matter, then.... It gets better: because so very cheap, I also tossed in the Nemeth Mil 17 and Mil 24. The former has an incomprehensible rambling manual and CTRL-E won't cut it on this helicopter - nor does the usual trick of slewing up a little and dropping it! It's unusual for me to biff a payware item so smartly, but this one has gone. After all, Vlad Zhygulskiy's Mi 8 is free and as much Russian helicopter as I need. Although the Mi 24 does have a "quick" (=3-page) start manual, all it ever produced was a chattering noise. Biff, Piglet did a nice one for which I have a couple of stunning repaints. All of which means I paid effectively USD25 for a Colibri which I already have as freeware... mmm, indeed. Got some really nice repaints in there, though.
May 25, 201412 yr Well I bought three Russian helos ... not to fly ( I am useless at helicopter flying) but for AI use. As previously discussed I really am enjoying Heli Traffic 2009. These added variety to the mix. I am over the moon. Sorry to learn of your trauma WingZ. At least you can put it to use as AI. -_-
