Is the Aerosoft Beaver made by the same guys who made the Twin Otter?

Featured Replies

I'm just wondering where they are both DH planes if they were made by the same guys.. I really love the Twin Otter Extended, so if it is the same guys, I might have to jump on the Beaver!

I don't recall it being the same person(s), but I could be wrong. If, however, you're using the Twotter Extended, you may be very disappointed going back to the older Beaver. That aircraft was one of the very first addons made for FSX, and she's starting to show her age. That being said, the package is extremely extensive and offers a TON of variants.

I wish they would make an accurate radial single engine otter. Back in 1959 I was 6 years old, we were in Bogata Columbia and my dad would take me to the Eldorado airport to meet the US ARMY otter bringing supplies in from Panama. I thought that bird was so beautifull! it was white with red wing tips and a red tail. I remember hearing the throb of that big radial engine and feeling the prop wash when that tail dragger would swing around. Thats when I knew this old world had little man made things to offer greater then airplanes.

I'd just get their Bush Hawk XP if you want a smaller floatplane. The default beaver is the only default plane I'll use, and I don't see any reasonto switch to the Aerosoft Beaver. To each his own I guess.
