June 6, 201411 yr Just wanted to give a shout out to Carenado. Sometimes they take a beating but I've been working with their support team for about 3 days to resolve an issue I was having with the BATT switch. Their support team worked with me even though I was probably the only person in the world that was experiencing this problem. After the smoke cleared they gave me some code updates and the problem was resolved. Companies always take a bashing when things don't really go well for the customer. Rare is the time when a company is praised for going above and beyond. Carenado doesn't have a dedicated public forum so thought I'd post it here. Ray S. June 6, 201411 yr I agree, Carenado is a classy company. I'm certainly glad they decided to support X-Plane users by converting their aircraft. Dan Klaue is their X-Plane man and he handles support over at the org. Maybe Avsim can offer them an X-Plane forum here? Or, maybe they have?
June 7, 201411 yr Hello ! I agree here too. They have the best installers (there's nothing more reliable and convenient than a zip file you just have to extract to your aircraft folder), and they also have the best support (including for GNU/Linux users). On X-Plane.org you'll find the official Carenado/Alabeo support forum for X-Plane users: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showforum=106 On AVSIM.net you'll find an unofficial forum: http://forum.avsim.net/forum/357-the-unofficial-carenado-support-forum/ Happy flying ! June 8, 201411 yr After the smoke cleared they gave me some code updates and the problem was resolved. Are they making this generally available too? Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. MSFS2020, XP-12, DCS
June 23, 201411 yr Are they making this generally available too? Sometimes you need to check if you have the latest version. I buy all my Carenado planes on the www.carenado.com store. Just go to your store and download it again if you have an old version. June 23, 201411 yr Author Are they making this generally available too? I doubt they will be making this fix publicly available since I was basically the only guy in the world with the issue, and the fix renders some of the switches 'aesthetically displeasing" in the cockpit. For my own purposes it works because I never use the in-cockpit views. I always fly with "Forward View with Nothing" turned on. Ray S. Check out my aviation portfolio: http://scottshangar.net
