Taxi2Gate KMCO rain effects?

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I could have sworn I was seeing an effect while flying out of KMCO yesterday afternoon. Time was approx. 1900 EST and conditions were overcast with light rain. All the taxiways had a sheen to them which honestly made everything wet looking. This was viewed on (5) seperate monitors as this was in a 757 simulator with wrap around visuals

Has anyone else noticed this or did I possibly inhale some petroleum products prior to flying? LOL

Honestly I am reporting something I've never noticed at any other FS9 airport and if this is truly an effect it is a superb and highly believable one.

Thanks

By any chance are you using Aerosoft's AES?

Page 15 of the AES Manual shows rain/snow effects on runways it renders for your pleasure.

Appliance,

Yes indeed I am using AES and in fact it did render the wet look minus the sheen I described on the taxiways, aprons, etc.

When I am off work Tuesday I plan to load clear and rain conditions and see if there is a dif or if it was just my eyes.
