Sale of FS

Featured Replies

I'm not trying to start another poop-fest, so please forgive me if this is inappropriate to ask.  Was it ever revealed who had made the purchase?  I haven't seen any news.

There is no news on the sale and it could stay like that for a year or two until who ever brought it has something to show the world.

I'll admit, i don't know squat about how  big buisiness operates, but as a publically owned company, don't they have to inform their stock holders when they sell 'something', belonging to the company, for what was implied as a large sum of money? I searched all kinds of online buisiness news journals and there is nothing out there.

Only if it's material to their overall results. Given Microsoft's scale that would likely need to be a nine or ten figure sum. Besides, if it's just a license sale then they're not actually selling an asset - Microsoft licenses stuff thousands of times a day and has no requirement to report their individual sales transactions.

Cheers!
