ORBX compatible best scenery for Italy?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am wondering what is the best scenery package (mesh and/or LC and/or texture) for Italy.

I currently have "ORBX FTX Global Base" and "ORBX FTX Global Vector", with "FS Global 2010" mesh.

So I am looking for something (payware is OK) compatible with those...

Any suggestion/review? I am particularly interested in the Western Alps region (Valle d'Aosta) and Tuscany.

Many thanks!

There's some great freeware scenery for Tuscany available at aussiex.org: http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/file/790-ozx-tuscany-complete/, and yuo might also be interested in their Liguria.

Also, there is a photoreal scenery for the Valle d'Aosta in the AVSIM library (second item use the link provided there to get the western part).

If you want more, you'll find some sceneries for other parts of Italy as well, e.g. in the "usual" payware suppliers, and maybe there are even some more freeware treasures somewhere on the net?

Best regards,

Florian

many thanks. Do you know for a fact that all these would be compatible with ORBX FTX products (Base, Vector and FS Global)?

I just don't want to get them to interfere and to freeze or crash the game.

Thank you, again.

ORBX openLC Europe should be out before the end of the month according to the head of the company.  This scenery product will provide accurate landclass and custom textures for all of Europe, so Italy should benefit.
