Overclocking in Win 7

Featured Replies

Just a general query;

If the software is the only change, when moving from XP to Win7 can I move my overclocking settings over as is or would I be better off just to start new in Win7?

Start new.  With a new OS install you need to OC and test for stability to validate your new OC.

You could probably use your old OC settings as a starting point, but you will still need to test for stability.

I would leave it the same.

OC is on the BIOS level, so it doesn't matter what OS you boot.

It would however be advisable, as per the previous suggestion, to do a stability test once you are done installing WIN7.
