June 26, 201411 yr Hi Iain, If you hit the "Report" button on any of your posts, and a form pops up where you can let the AVSIM Moderators know that they've incorreclty moved the topic to the wrong sub-forum, in that it had nothing to do with FS2Crew and concerns the Majestic Q400 product itself, not the FS2Crew addon for it. (Although as said above, ironically, FS2Crew has no had a mention lol! ...... still not in hte right forum for the overall discussion though). Craig
June 26, 201411 yr Author The FS2Crew FO does not trim the aircraft. Cheers, Ok - pity but thanks Bryan. Iain Hi Iain, If you hit the "Report" button on any of your posts, and a form pops up where you can let the AVSIM Moderators know that they've incorreclty moved the topic to the wrong sub-forum, Hi Craig, thanks that's now done. July 1, 201411 yr As others have mentioned, the left tendency is caused by yaw generated from the "prop wash". Counteract it using the rudder pedals and trim; set rudder trim right about 14 units before takeoff and you'll have a lot less to fight with once your airborne. You'll need to gradually reduce the trim as you accelerate, neutralising it when you're in the cruise. One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is that you can disable the effect using the mjc84.ini file if it's annoying you, add the following line:YAW_DUE_TO_PROPWASH=0 (instead of default 1.0) ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
July 1, 201411 yr Author One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is that you can disable the effect using the mjc84.ini file if it's annoying you, add the following line:YAW_DUE_TO_PROPWASH=0 (instead of default 1.0) Thank you Chris. I don't have rudder pedals but a joystick with twist grip for the rudder. This makes countering the effect more difficult so I'll try disabling the effect. I'm grateful for your response. Iain
July 1, 201411 yr Dumbing down the flying behavior of this airplane with the .ini tweak is a flight simulation sin! Get yourself some pedals, mister! :P
July 1, 201411 yr Author Dumbing down the flying behavior of this airplane with the .ini tweak is a flight simulation sin! Get yourself some pedals, mister! :P "He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone." I'll investigate. Available space might be a problem. Don't worry, the tweak can always be reversed!
