Fresh install and updated to beta - installed Xsquawkbox plugin and now comes up every time with this error on start up, winxpl error and xsquawkbox caused application to stop. Still gives this error after removing Xsquawkbox - have googled but does not seem to be a "regular" xplane error.

Any info would be appreciated - used installer from xplane site and not dvd.

you should attach the log.txt in order to check the error.

Are you sure you've installed XSB in the proper way?

If you run again the installer does it prompt you to update/fix some files?

I get that and can't use Squawkbox at all. I think it's a conflict with another plugin. I think with Gizmo as I uninstalled Gizmo for a test at one stage and that enabled running SB. I'd prefer to have the aircraft though, not big on Vatsim.
