No text showing

I've had this happen before, but forgot the fix.

 

Suddenly the red text indicating the brakes, parking brakes, paused, etc. has disappeared.

 

Help please.

in your fsx.cfg ensure that under display you have this set

 

InfoBrakesEnable=True
InfoParkingBrakesEnable=True

In your FSX.cfg under [Main] do you have a line that says HideInfotext=1, if so set it to 0.

Yeah they're both set to True.

Nope, don't have hideinfotext in there.

Only other things I can think of is :

 

1.  Did you do any editing of the language file in your main FSX folder? (This is unlikely)

 

2.  Possibly a bad FONT in the FONTS folder.

probably  not  the fix  but have you got  the show tool tips  checked or  what ever its called in the fsx  general section I think its in

Nope!  I never use tootips and all of my TextInfo work fine except for the "Replay and

 

Count-downtimer"  that I edited out.
