Saving the position of the volume nobs

Seems like it's not always possible to have FS2Crew save the positions for the volume knobs.

 

In my case I would like to keep both of the knobs as seen below but after a restart of FSX they will not keep this position. However if I increase or decrease the volume a bit they will both "remember" the position.

Is there any trick to get around this?

Just a notch or two up or down but still I've noticed how this can affect the volume quite a bit and especially for the FO voice.

 

However I think I've now found a position for the knobs just maybe one notch increased compared to what is seen in the picture and they seem to stay in that position so now I will be careful not touching them :wink:
