PMDG 777 sp1 and 300ER loss of control at takeoff

Featured Replies

Hello

I have just installed the Sp1 for the 777 and purchased and installed the 300ER expansion. I performed a test flight around my Fly Tampa Dubai International airport pay ware scenery. When I do this I use the FMC to calculate my V speeds and trim. In order to obtain the V speeds I make a little route going direct from OMDB to DXB, the local VORDME. When I do this I get the magenta line.

When I am given my V speeds from the FMC I notice that the magenta line disappears, upon further inspection it disappears precisely when I enter V2

my problem is, after take off at roughly 1500 feet AGL I lose control of the aircraft and all my screens in the cockpit freeze, altitude, speed and attitude stay the same even though I can see from outside the attitude of the aircraft is changing. The Nav screen also stays the same. No matter what I do I can't deflect the controls at all, there is no AP and AT switched on at all. because of my pitch up attitude the aircraft will typically just stall and fall out of the sky.

I must reinforce that the game itself does not freeze at all, only the aircraft. I have also done the same test flight around YMML with ORBX scenery with exactly the same result. I can replicate this event every time

I have installed the PMDG 777sp1 and 300ER as advised, following the instructions that have been set. I have also tried reinstalling the 777 and sp1 and the 300ER. I have tested and do not have this problem with the RTM 777

I'm having the same issue here. My panel is freezing some minutes after takeoff and I lose control of the aircraft. Waiting for a solution.

Hi all,

I did a quick test flight and had exactly the same issue. Everything froze on A/C. But carried on flying. Then banked over and crashed. Had no control. Weird

Cheers

Neil

I had exactly the same issue. I used 8X Time rate, the aircraft started banking from left to right, and my screen got frozen too. I have sent a support ticket, hope they will resolve it.

okay guys

are you getting this from the first initialisation?(the default panel state)  I am going to do some test flights including cold and dark with the same route causing the problem and I am going to do the tutorial flight from cold and dark.

I will get back with my findings.

Kevin!

I do not hink it is a panel state issue. I have created my own panel state from the Cold&Dark state, and it does not change the situation.

you are right David

upon further testing, when I flew the tutorial flight VRMM to OMDB, no freezing of the controls and screens at 950feet. It seems to be dependant on the route I put into the FMC.

It seems PMDG tech are very aware of the problem and are fixing it.

I did a test flight without route, I did not enter anything in the FMC, problem is still there.  :(

I have heard from Robert S. Randazzo, and he said that they might have found a resolution for the problem, they are testing it to make sure everything is right.

I just did a flight from OMDB to EGPF and when I was turning onto ils, I try to do manual landing but I also lost controls and it was like my joystick was no longer working.

I had the same freeze on my first test flight. Hopefully the devs found what needs to be found. Waiting patiently for possible hotfixes...

cheers,
NiIs U.
