B77W: No gauges, no gear despite successful activation

Recommended Posts

Wow everybody missed the advice given in the Introduction document to verify your sound device selection, which can sometimes cause this exact symptom to happen. It may or not have been the case but it's one more item to check.  See page 0.00.37

THANKS admin for letting me reply to help people. Here is the fix 100% working.

Just install three SimmConnect installers:

Flight Simulator SimConnect Client v10.0.61259.0
Flight Simulator SimConnect Client v10.0.61242.0
Flight Simulator SimConnect Client v10.0.60905.0

These can be found in installation directory of FSX->SDK->->CoreUtilitiesKit->SimmConnectSDK->LegacyInterfaces.

Install all three and REBOOT computer(this is must).

Reason if u install Prepar3d before FSX the prepar3d does not install simmconnect correctly. So install FSX before Prepar3d.Hope it helps

EDIT:

If you have prepar3d installed then installation directory-.>Redist->Interface

(location of three SimmConnect installers)

A quick search back through the last 5-10 pages on the forum would see the exact same thing across heaps of the exact same topics.

Where do those 3 sim connect files install to? I am unable to install FSX on my computer,I have tried every Google fix out there, with zero luck.. I get 1628 and 1603 errors.

Installing sim connect won't fix your issues if you're getting error codes installing FSX.

I have no issues with P3D,just wondering if you need FSX installed in order to install those sim connect files.

Nope. LM included them in the P3D install (the MSIs to install, I mean).

Hello, I had the same problem before, and I found a solution on PMDG website.

If you are  using FSX Steam, please follow this steps:

This issue is caused by an incorrect SimConnect runtime installation on your computer, follow these instructions to fix it:

  1. Navigate to this folder:

    <FSX:SE root folder>\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib

(By default the <FSX root folder> is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX)

  2. Run the SimConnect.msi installer file inside the folder.

  3. Navigate to this folder:

    <FSX:SE root folder>\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces

Inside this folder are three more folders that each contain a SimConnect.msi file - run all three of them.

Hope this can help you.

happy landing
