FSX Acceleration install problem (help!)

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Please help. Re-installing FSX today. My installation of Acceleration stops halfway through with the following:

Capture.png

Then I go to E:\FSX\Scenery\Cities\Reno\scenery and find the file: RENO_image.bgl. So it is there. I click retry and it says the same thing again. I can't go any further.

Please help. Should be enjoying the PMDG 777 300 today; instead I am going mad trying to install FSX.

Thanks

Peter

Maybe a dirty disc? Even a fingerprint can cause this kind of error. Try cleaning the disc. Use nothing stronger than Windex, spray a little on the disc, and then wipe it clean from the hub to the outside across the disc (don't wipe it in a circle).

Peter,

Did you Uninstall your previous FSX totally first?

Are you installing FSX , then FSX SP1 then the Acceleration update?

Are you installing "as Administrator"?

Is the error from your E CDROM drive or E Hard drive (what I suspect based on the path)?
