"No Routes Available"

Featured Replies

I get this warning when trying to do a route request for KLAX to PANC. Route has been exported from PFPX. Everything worked fine yesterday on a flight from MMMX to KLAX. Oddly enough, I went back to PFPX without exiting FSX, made a new route for KLAX to KJFK, and suddenly the 777 could read route requests again for KLAX, and even found the original KLAX to PANC route it couldn't find a minute earlier.

Anybody experience this or know of a cause/solution?

"Random" things like that are usually just an indication that you'd forgotten to do something (or did it wrong) that one time it "coincidentally" stopped working.

If it happens again, you might want to look into it.  My bet is that you just messed something up in the process that one time.

Nope, still happening. It’s not “random” (I never used the word "random" or "coincidentally", not sure who you’re quoting) it’s actually pretty predictable. Don’t know if this is a PMDG problem or PFPX’s, but the following occurs when I am in the freighter, Fed Ex livery:

With DEST open-ended

Route_Req_Fail1.jpg

Routes can be selected

Route_Req_Fail2.jpg

Including my FedEx route to PANC

Route_Req_Fail3.jpg

PANC as DEST, Route not found

Route_Req_Fail4.jpg

According to the manual: The ORIGIN (LSK 1L), DESTINATION (LSK 1R) and FLT NO (LSK 2R) fields of the RTE page are used to define the request. If you press the ROUTE REQUEST with these 3 fields empty you will be able to select any flight plan file manually. If you have already filled in the origin field, both the origin and destination fields, or the flight number field the FMC will filter the available routes it displays based on the criteria you’ve entered.

It appears to me the filter mechanism isn't working correctly in this case. Followed PFPX steps correctly as well, the flight plan was created using the 777 freighter with 200,000lbs of cargo.

Yes it is indeed a problem with the filtering.

The "_" between the origin and destination ICAO codes is causing the problem. If the file is renamed to KLAXPANC_FDX554.rte (instead of KLAX_PANC_FDX554.rte) it will work.

Will fix that in the next update.

Ok, I will leave the underscore out of the flight plans till the next update. Thanks, Michael and Ryan, for the quick response to the ticket.
