July 21, 201411 yr Commercial Member Hi Dave, Just downloaded the trail version and have a few questions to start with: ATC Audio files: I have 'lots' of pre recorded background ATC files which are either by ICAO or genric for a country (USA, Germany etc), would it be possible to get Pilot2ATC to loop through these. EG, you setup the folder for Departure, Tower etc and in those folder you have the correct sound files. When you are the frequency the correct background plays. On Clearance then clearance sounds play either in order or randomlly. Is there a 'standard' radio background file or can you point to one ? I have Navigraph charts can I pull these into pilot2ATC? Thanks Clive Clive Joy
July 21, 201411 yr Commercial Member Hi Clive. Thanks for the post. At present, you can specify one file for background sound for each controller type and that file is looped continuously while on that controller's frequency. You set this up in the Configuration window which is brought up by pressing the button with a wrench on it. One source for 20-30 min files is LiveATC.net. The files you have might work if they are mp3. On the enhancements list is the ability to specify a folder full of files for each controller type and have the background sounds loop through these files randomly. Also on the "to be investigated" list is using Navigraph and other 3rd party sources for charts and nav information. I haven't done enough research to say it is on the roadmap, but at this point I don't see any reason it won't make it into the product down the road. Enjoy the trial! Dave
July 22, 201411 yr Hi Dave, Pilot2Atc has potential to fill the void sadly missing in the FSX community. Do you have plans to include the 'rest of the world' sectionals and approach plates in future updates?
July 22, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Steve If you look at page 35-39 of the users guide you can see how you use web until Dave integrates other charts: '.........To overcome the limitation of Charts for outside the US, we added the ability to Browse the internet and thereby display any charts or other information, including En-Route Hi and Low IFR charts, etc. right in your Pilot2ATC window. Just press the Browse Button to the right of the STAR button. The browser controls will appear in the bottom of the panel. The screen will be blank on the first use.' Clive Joy
