Horrible Airport Lights - Please Help (Picture Inside)

Featured Replies

Hi. I'm having great troubles with airport light setting whether its the taxi lights, runway lights or VASI lights. This is the tweak I put in the fsx.cfg, but it doesn't seem to change anything. I also use REX for textures but does neither help. Everything is just so "blobby". Any thoughts?

RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.75
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.5
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.65
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.7

The light scalar adjustments don't work for all airports if the airport is using custom lights. Are the airports you're having problems with a default airports or addon airports? I can't tell from the pic you posted.

This is Aerosoft Brussels. But it applies for all addon airports such as Heathrow, Stockholm, Helsinki etc...

Yeah some of those Aerosoft airports use custom lights and there's nothing you can do to make them smaller. I have some Aerosoft airports that have huge lights that look horrible but the developer would have to change them since the light scaler adjustment won't work for them.
