Best frame rate improvement

Featured Replies

So do you put priority to high or realtime? The ERJ by far is the worst aircraft I have as far as frame rates go, it was choppy the whole way from LAX to SFO. I hope one day I will be able to use the plane and have a smooth ecperience with it. I have a P4 2.8 1 gig 3200 ddr ram, 160 gig ide HD, and an X800 Pro (256 megs).**EDIT** Actually nevermind, I would have to agree with Doug, he sounds like he knows what hes talking about, and since changing it to high didn't do anything noticable, I think I'll leave it alone. And to add to that... That is the best tip of the year.Jeff

Guys,Keep in mind that I never said it would work. All I did was answer the question about how to increase the default priority. That said, I tested it on my own system before I posted my initial reply. I got about a 15% increase in frame rate with a PMDG 737. Nothing earth shattering, but an improvement nontheless. For those of you who think more is better and are considering changing the priority to Realtime, don't.Mike

Dear All,Just remember the old phrase 'if it aint broken don't try to fix it'its happened to us all where we continually strive for better performance only to mess somthing else up!!Always be careful when tweaking with FS in any way ...CheersPHIL
