July 29, 201411 yr Hello simmers, I have at each flight the "L &R Util Load Shed" during all the flight on ELEC EFIS display I know the load shed is managed by the ELMS (Electrical load management system) of T7. On my plane I have failure activated but no item failed. Maybe PMDG developers have an idea of my "failure" rgdrs! marc
July 29, 201411 yr Seems odd that the drive generators on the engines wouldn't provide enough electrical power to the aircraft that load shedding would need to take place. Could you perhaps give us some pictures of the ELEC EFIS and overhead panel during this? James Bennett
July 29, 201411 yr my Both Gen are Ok, the Bug's are ok. Yes but they should be providing enough power to the aircraft that it doesn't need to load shed. Also what do you mean by Bugs? I'm having a hard time understanding you. James Bennett
July 29, 201411 yr Thanks for clarifying re BUGs. Wasn't sure if you were referring to speed bugs on the tapes etc. I don't know how to help you, i'm not even sure that this is incorrect behaviour, but i know i've never had load shedding in flight. I only get load shedding running off a single GPU plug or APU. James Bennett

Any time you reconfigure the plane from one power source to another (or change from higher power sources to lower power sources), the plane migrates items selectively. During these times, high-priority items get the first pass, while lower priority items are dropped off entirely until the plane figures out that it has enough power to add them back. Until all normal items are restored, the aircraft will notify you that some items are still being shed from the load with "LOAD SHED." This can be as simple as a logo light (and you will often see this as one of the more obvious effects). Again, as the plane runs down that list, it will restore those functions as it sees fit (again, with the logo light example, it will eventually pop back on, even after temporarily going out while switching from the APU to the GPU at the gate). He said he has it continuously for the whole flight. I don't think that sounds normal, usually i only get it on source changes and when on APU or GPU with too many electrical components drawing power for the source selected. James Bennett
