Fsx Crashes When Switching Aircraft

Featured Replies

When I switch to an aircraft that does not have Mindstar GNS 430/530 installed from one that does, FSX crashes. I have seen on forums that this is a known issue. Is there an ETA when this will be fixed or is there a work around?

Right now I am stuck. My default aircraft has GNS 430 installed so I cannot switch to another aircraft to make that the default. Any help will be appreciated.

I did the following but it crashes when I load the C172 with Mindstar GNS, switch to another aircraft without it and click on Fly Now.

I ran the installer 2X and rebooted the PC.

I set up my default flight to use the default C172SP Skyhawk. click Fly Now, end flight. Choose C172SP Skyhawk GNS, click Fly Now, end flight, choose default C172SP Skyhawk, click Fly Now. end flight --> ok

Choose C172SP Skyhawk GNS, click Fly Now, end flight,  choose default C172SP Skyhawk. end flight --> ok

Choose C172SP Skyhawk GNS, click Fly Now, Bring up GNS panel and end flight with panel up. Choose default C172SP Skyhawk.--> crash

Choose C172SP Skyhawk GNS, click Fly Now, Bring up GNS panel, close panel and end flight. Choose default C172SP Skyhawk.--> crash

I also noticed that some of the problems with P3D2 'not responding' still persists. Not as bad as it was and several options that reload the screen are now usable, but upon loading a new aircraft from the sim environment, P3D2 still stops responding.

Also when I exit the sim, it doesnt fully close, but I get a 'not responding' message, asking me to check for solution online or close the program.

I can make changes to, for example, time and season, reload texture library and change settings that need to reload the interface, so there's definitely improvement.

Cheers!

Maarten
