August 5, 201411 yr What mobo do you recommend for a new build for FXS? I am going to use a 4790k but am having difficulty selecting among the different offerings of a given manufacturer, let alone selecting among those manufacturers. Other than "more is better" for a given feature, how to choose?

I have the ASUS Z87 Deluxe which is rated a 10 out of a max of 10, the highest but you can definitely get away with one much cheaper. I just like to buy expensive things.... August 7, 201411 yr Get the Z97 chipset it is newer than the Z87. I just got a Z97 MSI gaming 7 board that I'm putting together today. has good reviews on this forum if you read through the 4790k posts down below. It is also 10/10 on the website firehawk listed, and is a lot cheaper.
