I'm looking at purchasing EFB in FSX, and I was wondering if any user could answer this:

 

Does EFB eat up VAS leading to OOM when used alongside the PMDG 777, and add scenery?

 

So far I've used the B777 with only one short frozen screen, but I am concerned that this add on, may cause frequent freezes due to VAS limitations

I've only used the trail version of Avilasoft EFB but I think the answer to your question would be no.

Correct, the Data Provider does not use any FSX VAS memory. It is not loaded in DLL.XML or such.

 

On another note, I'd as always advice to run the Display Unit on a networked PC for the easiest use.
