August 23, 201411 yr Hi, Have been searching all over for answer but all I get is Confusion. My question is: What will be the result of pairing a Zotac GeForce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 with a 28inch 4k monitor. Other specs are i7 4770k at 3.9ghz, 2 x 8gb Kingston Hyperbeast Ram, OS and FSX run on separate SSDs. Generally run all settings at max and get FPS from 25 to well over 100, depending on scenery, height, etc. Looking for a bigger screen monitor, currently on 25", but want to go 4k if possible or at least 2560 x 1440 resolution. Grateful for any advice Colfmedion
August 24, 201411 yr I imagine it's going to be a result you will be thrilled with. That opinion is based on this: Just bought a 28" Samsung 4K and traded real estate for visual quality, having come down (in size) from a 31.5" 1080P screen. Using a GTX780, I'm finding 2560x1440 is the sweet spot with the settings I use. But geez, flying around at times @ 3840X2160 is incredible. There are times when that res is too much though...the usual: clouds, big busy places like cities and mega airports. My hardware is not too different from yours, FYI. i7-9700K, MSI Z370, PNY 4070 Super, GTX 750Ti, 32GB GSkill, 43" curved Samsung, 32" BenQ, 11" LED, RealSImGear GTN750, Win10, P3DV5.4/P3DV6 and MSFS, several GoFlight modules, Saitek radio, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Virtual Fly TQ6.

August 28, 201411 yr Commercial Member How could I connect my new, huge, 4K, 3D LG TV to my Asus GTX770? What do I need? I want to try also Doom BFG, as I've read that it supports 3D on TVs. Thanks
August 28, 201411 yr HDMI cable is the norm. i7-9700K, MSI Z370, PNY 4070 Super, GTX 750Ti, 32GB GSkill, 43" curved Samsung, 32" BenQ, 11" LED, RealSImGear GTN750, Win10, P3DV5.4/P3DV6 and MSFS, several GoFlight modules, Saitek radio, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Virtual Fly TQ6.
August 28, 201411 yr Author Hi, Went with Samsung 4K 28" Monitor. Installed yesterday and still very much in the learning process but very pleased. Can fly with 3840 x 2160 and detail is incredible. Text very, very small thought but still learning. Manhattan X was incredible before but now it is really special. Managed to do a quick flight from Newark to JFK without OOM but suspect it was pretty close to it but then all my settings are Max'd. Use the VAS monitor but can have that running at the side of FSX because of the Widescreen which means I can easily change setting in flight should the need arise. Colfmedion
August 28, 201411 yr Great, sounds like you made a good choice. Every time I settle into a different aircraft ( I have no favorite, fly them all) I am amazed at the clarity of things. No OOM's at this point in P3D2.3, but I think I may have been close with FSX. Anyway, have fun! i7-9700K, MSI Z370, PNY 4070 Super, GTX 750Ti, 32GB GSkill, 43" curved Samsung, 32" BenQ, 11" LED, RealSImGear GTN750, Win10, P3DV5.4/P3DV6 and MSFS, several GoFlight modules, Saitek radio, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Virtual Fly TQ6.
