SU 3 Beta 1.5.10.0 Released June 2025
After disabling FSUIPC in the exe.xml file I can fly without CTDs...but, the Logitech radio panel does not light, GoFlight hardware only partially works, and out of 3 aircraft I flew the autopilots are useless. I tried manually launching FSUIPC during a flight; CTD.

Prostate cancer?
Another prostate story, with a good ending. Last October had my PSA tested: 6.8 I think, so considered elevated. Doc suggested doing another in 8 weeks: up to 8.8 (by the way it was known mine was 'enlarged' also). Saw a urologist who confirmed it was 'certainly enlarged' but did not feel any lesions, etc. OK, next step was an MRI in early February which showed a definite 'lesion' with a 60% chance of it being cancer. This led to a biopsy on 4/10 which eventually (10 days later) led to the wonderful words "...not cancer" 🙂 from the doctor. WHEW! Funny side note, before getting the blood work for the PSA it's recommended to avoid long car rides, sitting on lawn mowers, tractors, etc a couple days before. Then I thought about the thousands of hours I've driven snow cats, flown airplanes, mowed lawns (sit down), used heavy equipment sitting on my rear, not to mention the zillions of hours sitting whilst simming, maybe that's why my prostate enlarged! Now at 73 I walk and stand a lot more and sit a lot less...or at least try too. 😁 Hope Jumpin' Joe comes through OK and anyone else that has to deal.

An Omega Block resulting in cloudless skies
That explains it! Yesterday I flew in the UK for the first time in many months (EGLL-EGPH) with those clear blues and light winds. Never saw a cloud, which had me wondering if the sim's (2024) WX data was off line. It seemed pretty odd!

How to unbind a key assignment FS2024?
IIRC place your mouse cursor over the binding 'window' and tap the back space key.

Cessna 208 in 2024 is like a Drunken Sailor
Did this and currently flying towards KLKP on autopilot. No wing waving and the takeoff was spot on. Yep, this is more like it, thanks Bert!

Cessna 208 in 2024 is like a Drunken Sailor
I concur with the OP and others; its not a very pilot friendly aircraft. Osscilations around the long axis when AP is engaged, ultra sensitive ground handling and braking make it a handful to operate. Still, I was able to enjoy an hour flight last night in fog and light snow. The landing and taxi light effects in mvfr/ifr I think are amazing.

What the heck is happening with my MS2020!!!
Yep, same issue here. I got around the long wait period (I timed 17 minutes to Homepage) by disconnecting my ethernet cable, then after reaching homepage reconnecting. I managed abut 15 minutes of flying until a CTD. Did this 3 times and eventually got CTD's in under 15 minutes of flying. Good goin'...

Recent drone acticity in the US and Great Britain...
I like the drone club possibility, but the most irritating side of this is mostly what some politicians have said. Of course I won't name names, but their ignorance of airspace laws, suggestions to shoot them down, once again, shows it's far better to keep one's mouth shut and 'appear' word not allowed, than open it and remove all doubt. How did we elect so many doofuses? 😉 I'm getting a chuckle over the hype of it all... That said, I can't wait to see what comes of it and I expect it will prove, AGAIN, as nothing much to get in a twist over. Stay calm and carry on.

MSFS2020 Availability/Startup/Performance
Yep, I see that same long.....'checking for updates' swirl every time I launch. Been seeing it for days and days it seems. The rest of the process seems normal, just that one step is borked.

Win 11 24H2 w/ 7800X3D: audio cutouts in 2020 ensued...
Appreciate you reporting your results Noel. I did reinstall the Win11 drive and updated the Realtek drivers, disabled any other sound devices that were listed; no joy. Back in WIn10 land I just flew flawlessly for 2 hours. I can easily swap the C drives back and forth if there's something new to try, but I don't think I have any other graphic ports available for monitor number 2. Anyway, good luck!

Win 11 24H2 w/ 7800X3D: audio cutouts in 2020 ensued...
No solutions, except for reinstalling the SSD (Win10) I had cloned before recently installing that version of Win11. Win11 has been terrible with 2020, doing exactly that: audio and graphic stutters which at times is unacceptable to fly with. After 5 days of searching and trying some things, 40 minutes ago I reconnected the Win10 SSD. I'm flying smooth as silk again. Also I saw a thread on the microsoft flight sim forums from early October discussing this problem. No one had a fix it seems, blaming it on Windows 11 and waiting for something from MS... 15 minutes later, just finished the flight and it was perfect. I'll stash that Win11 SSD away until someone figures this out.

Flitesim vs Brunner Compatiblity in MSFS (2020 & 2024)
Had a Brunner for many years now, it has its own software that must be launched with msfs. Not sure about various configurations as I only use the default settings for all aircraft, but forces are different because of the settings of those particular aircraft. I never had any issues using it with mfs2020 and I see no reason why Brunner won't release a 2024 compatible software. My 2 cents...

Question for multi monitor users using View Groups
Yes, I do that often as three screens results in a heavy performance loss. I have a 50" @ 4K 30Hz while the left screen is 1080P. I actually prefer opening another window, un-docking it, moving it over then zooming and moving the viewpoint to my liking. It only takes seconds regardless of the aircraft.

Cessna Home Cockpit Construction Video Tour
Manny, If you go to his Blog site he has many how-to pages, one of them how he got his screens setup. Very helpful. I have presently two screens going using custom views and yes, it can take a perf hit depending on the res setttings and of course the hardware. Greg

I saw this video on your site and watched it again....indeed 1080p does look good. I lowered my res settings on the main screen to 2K and got a much smoother flight tonight, but still only using one side view (32"). I'll have to purchase another and then do lots of reconfiguring to the sim structure. Fun project that also drives me crazy at times. Thanks for posting ...this helped a lot. Onward I go... Cessna Home Cockpit Construction Video Tour
Back again with more: I went and bought a 50" 4K TV for my front screen and it's great, wicked immersive. Running it at 4K alone is good, but adding a second screen (at 2K) brings about some stuttering. Am I nuts to expect this to perform smoothly? I'm unclear on what to use for the sides, trying to find the right balance of immersion, performance, and visual quality. I notice you run all your screens at 1920x1080? Running 32" side screens would seem like too low a resolution for my liking...so why not higher? Are you happy with the results you have? Many thanks, Greg newbie cockpit-hacker-builder

Thanks for that. Ever since FlightsimCon I've been thinking of how to enclose my setup and this has given me a few ideas, so great. Well done! cheers, Greg

Whatever, that is my observation regardless of your 'experience'.

P3D v3.2 vs. v3.3 - visible improvements
Scenery shimmering is barely noticeable now, with 3.2 any ORBX stuff shimmered like mad. That is most noticeable for me. No VAS probs, no performance probs, none of the nonsense many have spoken of.
