August 25, 201411 yr PMDG737NG After programming FMC ( I hope correctly) V speed do not indicate onTakeoff Ref pg. This will preclude VNAV & LNAV operation. Am I doing somethinmg wrong> George Haarmann KPHX Drum & Bugle Corps Fan
August 25, 201411 yr Commercial Member Am I doing somethinmg wrong> My bet is yes. The PERF INIT needs to be done, the IRS needs to be aligned, the runway needs to be selected (DEP/ARR page), and the TAKEOFF page needs to be completed (part of the PERF INIT flow). The tutorial work flow will give you everything you need to make this happen. If you haven't done it, you should do it. Kyle Rodgers
August 25, 201411 yr Am I doing somethinmg wrongIn addition to what Kyle has mentioned in post 2, the derate, assumed temperature and flaps may not be correct for a safe takeoff considering runway length, gross takeoff weight, temperature, altitude, barometric pressure, etc. For that you would need a program called TOPCAT. August 25, 201411 yr Commercial Member Would would I find the "tutorial work flow". The tutorial is found in the Start Menu. Start > PMDG Simulations > 737NGX Folder > [some reference to Tutorial #1 - while you're at it, the intro manual would probably help some, too] (Sorry for the vague reference - not on my sim computer to check specifics) Kyle Rodgers
