August 25, 201411 yr Hi all This is my 7th flight in Alaska, exploring the wonderful FTX SAK scenery All of my flights are done with OpusFSX, and jumping from tiny, dusty, leaning strips, to tiny, dusty, leaning strips. Planning with PlanG, a GPS, and that's it. This time, from Victory (0AK6) to Black Spruce North of Anchorage (AK89). Using P3D 2.3, FTX SAK, freeware C150 TiBush.
August 26, 201411 yr The worst thing about watching videos is that I am so used to my TIR that I continually try to look out the sides, etc. LOL Fine video and nice stills. Thanks :-) Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.
August 26, 201411 yr Author The worst thing about watching videos is that I am so used to my TIR that I continually try to look out the sides, etc. LOL Which is understandable ! I do not want to spend money on a real, hardware TIR system. So I am trying to tune FacetracknoIR to use it as a TIR alternative in my next video. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I tried so hard to make FaceTracknoIR work. I even bought a better webcam. After many hours of frustration, I ended up with TrackIR 5 w/proclip. Not trying to hijack! Just passing along some friendly advice! David Graham Google, Network+, Cisco CSE, Cisco Unity Support Specialist, A+, CCNA
August 26, 201411 yr Author I know FT is not easy to tune, and true TIR is tempting. You could not make it work at all, or you were not 100 % satisfied with the result ?
August 26, 201411 yr I know FT is not easy to tune, and true TIR is tempting. You could not make it work at all, or you were not 100 % satisfied with the result ? It just would constantly lose track of my eyes. Which is how it tracks head movements. You need a lot of light, and a webcam capable of 30 fps.
