What does it mean when the CURRENT ACTIVITY on the status bar is constantly IDLE, I have never seen a change in wording from idle to another activity.

My question is: does it suppose to change with the weather conditions and if so,how.

i don't think it's supposed to change with the weather conditions and is more of an indicator of what the program status is. mine usually says idle. every now and then i see it switch to 'downloading weather' for a few seconds.

It reads one of three things if I remember correctly, IDLE this is what you will see most of the time. Downloading, this you will see when it's downloading updated weather at the time interval you chose in the settings. Depicting, this barely gets chance to display after downloading because in ASN depiction is now near instantaneous. I wouldn't be surprised if this is covered in the manual though.
