gtx 770 2gb SLI or NOT ?

Featured Replies

hallo,
i am running my fsx now with a 2gb gtx 770 gpu. I am thinking about to go in sli but would it make difference with for example pmdg 737/777… in virtual cockpit… When active sky gave me a lot off clouds i am going down to 20-25 fps in flight…. and i get stutters... therefore i want a solution…
I saw a lot of posts but i do not get an answer if sli would be fine for me or not…
Can someone give me an answer…

i7 3770K 4.0 ghz
16 gb ram
gtx 770 2gb

Not in dx9

Try capping your FPS to something in the 24 - 30 range, that should smooth things out in clouds

I wouldn't bother with FSX and I have a gtx670 set-up. Turn the detail down a notch or flick vsync off.

There's a possibility p3d will be optimised for SLI but that could be some time...

Hallo to you too!

It is generally accepted that FSX does not benefit from SLI, indeed there have been reports frame rates have fallen when SLI has been implemented.

Again while 2gb is sufficient for FSX a 4gb version would be preferable if you SLI with other games or choose to upgrade to P3D or X Plane.
