I haven't used the level d 767 but is it difficult to update the latest navigational data into the fmc.i have read that you can do this on www.navigraph.com but i find the information on this website very complicated.any help appreciated.

Pay Navigraph or NavdataPro, download the installer and run it.  That's it.

yes.  Airways;SIDS;STARS;runway approaches will all be updated.

Thanks for your reply-another question is that level d 767 comes in a download version not boxed-does this mean you can have a backup copy if say your download gives problems

You can download as many installers as you like - I recommend you use IE or a download manager like 'Free Download Manager' so that you will get a clean download.  After you've used one and know it works then save the original to a CD or offline storage of some sort.  The aircraft uses the Flight1 wrapper and you can always download a new copy if you like.
