Controlling Turbulence (?)

Featured Replies

Hello All ---- enjoying the Q400 for sure. I fly a lot in weather, and wondering if there is a way to control the "automated" turbulence that the Q400 has in clouds. Not all cloud structures produce turbulence.

Possibly I have missed it, but what can I do to adjust or cut off turbulence??

Many Thanks --- ^_^

Turbulence scalar: Controls the strength of turbulence effects; it is 0.75 by default but you may wish to turn this down to 0.45 if you're using ASN or experiencing exaggerated turbulence effects. The general consensus is that setting it to 1 results in unrealistically harsh turbulence.

You will find the setting in the mjc84.ini file, just edit the number to suit your preference. Hope this helps.
