September 6, 201411 yr I noticed that the Real Air Simulations site is not showing the coming soon topic.
September 6, 201411 yr Yes, there is a note one their main page (in the "Latest News" section) that says: Cessna 172 Development ShelvedTuesday 02 September 2014 Our proposed development of a C172 has been shelved indifinitely. This decision was made in the light of two things: Firstly another C172 was released some time ago and we are doubtful whether there is room in the market for another. The second is that we anticipate licensing issues which would make the likelyhood of producing a value product for our customers more difficult. This decision also frees up more time to improve and update our current products, including the addition of versions for Prepar3D V2. http://realairsimulations.com/home.php?page=home, 09-06-14 While I understand that this does not necessarily means it won't ever be released, it is clear that any further work and hence a release is very unlikely (but that could be a misunderstanding, as English isn't my native language). Best regards, Florian
September 6, 201411 yr I think it's good decision as there is already A2A version... Better to produce some plane not yet realised in FSX.
September 6, 201411 yr I think it was a wise decision on their part. September 6, 201411 yr Moderator It's a good decision. After the A2A C172, I don't believe personally this would have sold too well. I wish them all the luck for the next project, I still love flying the Legacy and Duke
