September 8, 201411 yr HELP!! I don't know what to do anymore. If i wanna play FSX, i start up my computer, then i have to install my video drivers, and then i can start FSX. As long as my computer is on, i can start and shut down FSX and start it again. No problem there. But if i shut my computer down, and maybe in the evening start it again to play FSX, i have to do it all over again. I have no idea why! I really hope someone here will be able to help me!! Thanks already in advance I have a Win7 operating system and a ATI EAH6850 videocard
September 8, 201411 yr What makes you want to re-install your video drivers? That should not be required. Bert
September 8, 201411 yr Commercial Member He probably gets a message says something like "your video drivers are not installed correctly" and FSX refuses to run. I've seen that with a bad SSD that "repaired" itself during boot up, losing previous changes to drivers and settings, eventually failing altogether. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
September 9, 201411 yr Author I get a fatal error, when i start FSX. I just assumed that it was the video-drivers, reinstalled them, en then fsx worked. But only until i shut down my computer. Then i have to do it again
September 9, 201411 yr Administrators Did you look in your Event Log to see what the faulting module was. I'm guessing it's the error for ATI drivers being the cause. Have you installed the latest version for your card? The log error was atiumdag.dll Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. September 12, 201411 yr Administrators With the Faulting Module being unknown then I suggest using the AVSIM CTD site.
