captains seat high in 2d view

Featured Replies

hello all

got a question about the 737NGX.    the Captains seat in the 2d version is to high, I am basic looking down at the taxi way

how do you lower the seat so it is more aligned with the other aircraft and viewing more forward.

thanks in advance for you help

Review the Intro document, verify you have WideViewAspect=True (pg 0.00.13) if you are using a 16:9 or 16:10 monitor. Also, I vaguely recall (I've quit using 2D panels since MD-11) that over zoom can be a problem as well.

hello

I tried it out and got no go

the copilots seat is fine

My FS9 is long gone so i'm going from memory.

Not sure what you mean by copilot seat vs captain seat. There is only one seat- but you can change the views for it- such as View Forward, View Left Forward etc.

As well, you can shift that view up or down or change the eyepoint.

Also, you must be sitting square to the monitor center or you will get a distorted view that may seem like a copilot seat.

No computer training required, just middle school math:  1440 is to 900 as 16 is to 10. See pg 0.00.12 in the Intro on how to find fsx.cfg and put the WideViewAspect statement in there as instructed.
