Entering Canadian Airspace

Featured Replies

Howdy guys,

I confronted with an question I can´t answer, maybe you know more: I love flying arround Washington State and thus I sometimes have to enter Canadian airspace (at least flying though some parts. Is that legal with an US-based plane without a flight plan (only VFR)? Same question for military jets (Whidbey NAS is a lovely station)?

Best regards, Steffen

Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

I dont think it's legal to enter foreign space without a properly filled flight plan.

I fly sometimes over us space when flying from quebec to new brunswick province. I always file a flight plan and request flight following. Montreak center then transfer me to boston center and i'm sure they have me on file while i fly over Maine.
