Active Sky Next (ASN)- Can't Control Ambient Weather - P3D 2.4

Recommended Posts

The last update the same Can't Control Ambient Weather happened. Had to wait awhile for a fix.

Now the same error after installing P3D V2.4 update.

The update (not full install) went perfectly and no files had to be restored. I know little about the nuances of ASN and only use it with no fiddling.

I assume I am not alone with this error.

Andrew,

Check your DLL.xml for Active sky entry.

Mine has this data:

    <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>as_connect</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>as_srv\as_btstrp.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>

Looks like it's ok - here's what I've got:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>

<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
  <Descr>Launch</Descr>
  <Filename>dll.xml</Filename>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>
  <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
  <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>as_connect</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>as_srv\as_btstrp.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

Did you delete this folder: as_srv

Mine is here: F:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\as_srv

Then run the ASConnect_P3D_Install.exe

Which puts all good stuff back into the Newly created folder?

check here. It is usually a permissions issue.

Hi again Vic-

Ok... FSUIPC version is OK.

however... step 2: "2) Ensure that FSUIPC wind smoothing is disabled (you can press the "wx settings off" button)"...

can't find it! Where is that?

thanks

Andrew
