Has anyone run into a problem with an airplane crossing a time zone boundary?

 

I see a lot of use of the LOCAL TIME variable for various timers, including startup,

and one of my buddies tells me that he suffers an avionics reset when crossing a time zone boundary.

 

I have never seen this myself, but I wonder if that is possible?

 

In which case, changing to ZULU TIME would be the obvious answer..

Using LOCAL TIME is a classic "Bad Idea" for avionics.
