How to fly Direct to waypoint ?

Featured Replies

Every time I use FMS to fly Direct to (DTO) a/c fly to establish the route course and not direct from presnt positon...

The only way I manged to do so is via GPS, Direct to but then it delete the rest of the flightplan...

That's a known limitation of FSX. You can fly to intercept the next leg of the flight plan, but you can't go direct to a waypoint without wiping out the rest of the plan.

My solution was to buy the Reality XP GPS's. They work well but are a bit pricey. However, you can use it in any aircraft.

 Ok Thx

Here's a really cool tutorial on ways you can do a 'direct to' using the Garmin.

There's a part 2 as well.

I'd recommend the RXP too if you're not using P3D.  There are some other options that do work in P3D if you don't have a problem with popups.
