  1. It'll be in the next bug fix update for $200.
  2. Sure, the screens look great! because of the add-ons.
  3. Except that when you change the time from night to day or vice versa, you'll have wait for the sim to reload the textures. That's how you know that it's not full HDR. Really, you're just getting bits and pieces of improvement at $200 a pop. Imagine if Microsoft was still selling new versions flight sim and they said the next version was going to be $200. Would you be happy with what you got? Personally, I would expect something built from the ground up. It's a bit of a joke really.
  4. False! This is easily achievable in FSX. I see it all the time. And I didn't have to pay $200 for an FSX patch. I've never had an OOM in 5 years of FSX.

    OK
  6. GNS 530 for FSX? Do you mean an add-on? I used to use the Reality XP add-on for FSX. It's built on the Garmin trainer so it functions the same as the real world unit. So download the manual and your golden. You can even use the training software to practice.
  7. I'm a little surprised that they didn't fix that.
  8. Why do you need FS Realtime with P3D?
  9. When they fix the 757/777 issues with the FMS and release that, then I'll look at this. Flightfactor is shaping up to be another Captain Sim like developer that keeps pushing out new stuff without fixing the existing first.
  10. The Dodo 206 is porcheria. Stick with DCS, or go to X-plane. FSX isn't even an option for helis.
  11. I don't think they are stuffing anyone. They were probably just as blind sided as anyone else with the new version coming out of nowhere. You can't expect them to have their products ready on the spot. Besides, P3D is a commercial sim, and Milviz makes entertainment products, so it's not like LM is going to support them in any way.
  12. A lot of PE users use X-plane. It has a native GPS that is updateable via navigraph or navdata pro. Addon developers are starting to tap into this database so that you don't have to install nav updates per aircraft.
  13. Bold is not shouting. All caps is shouting; It's been like that for 20 years. Second, 2.5 is barely better than FSX, so I'm not paying $200 for it. And I know several people that returned it because it was buggy. Did you not see the bug list?
  14. For most of us, it's not $60, it's $200. And since when to we pay for bug fixes? For those that bought 2.5, does that mean they payed for buggy software and you get what you get?? Buy it again if you want it to work? That's a joke, and not the way you run a business. This seems more like a v2.6 to me, with most of the list being bug fixes.
  15. I don't think we need a new sim, we have one that is actively developed and always improving. X-plane out of the box is better then FSX. FSX without addons is garbage; the scenery sucks, so we buy ORBX, FSDreamteam, FlyTampa etc..The airplanes suck, that's why we all buy PMDG, A2A etc.. The weather sucks, so we use Active sky or whatever..Every single aspect of the sim is essentially covered up by some addon including the flight dynamics. It's not even FSX anymore. FSX has the support from the addon developers and that's why we continue to use it. If X-plane had the same support it would far better. The scenery that is being made for X-plane looks better, even the free stuff. The good news is that some devlopers have started to build for X-plane; PMDG, Carenado and Aerosoft are some of them. So how do you get more developers on board? You have to make the first move. Once the X-plane numbers come up, the developers will have a reason to build stuff for it, and LR will have more resources for improving the sim and supporting the developers.
  16. I still don't get the X-plane mobile thing. Do people really use that?
  17. I suggest you go through the pilot ratings at the Vatsim ZLA virtual ARTCC. They will prepare you better than anything else. A lot of fun too!
  18. The Flight Factor 757 is pretty good. Not quite like PMDG but up there. However, my favorites to fly are the FlyJSim 737-200 and 727-200. They surpass anything you can find in FSX for those aircraft, and that's part of the reason I fly more in X-plane because I really like the older stuff. If you like the modern stuff, then it's probably worth waiting for the PMDG stuff to come over. And IXEG is working on a 737-300 that looks incredible. As far as helicopters, X-plane has some really nice ones. IMO, much better than dodosim. I fly the Dreamfoil R22, 206 and 407; all amazing!
  19. LOL! Now that's funny! Good one!
  20. Wow, you have really put yourself on a pedestal! You know everything I guess! and forget about everyone else on the forum and that might value the information. If you don't like it, then we'll just make fun of it, discourage it, and make people feel like they don't have an opinion. Please, don't tell me what is good or better than what I use, because I already know everything. You know what I think, based on your feedback in those threads. You don't know half of what you think you know about those platforms. The nonsense in those threads was your invalid statements that you couldn't back. And since when do I have to wait for someone to ask before I offer information. If I have an interesting experience, can I not share it? I value the opinions of others and the more I get the better and more informed decision I can make. But that's of course because I don't know everything like you. Is it okay if maybe you just bypass the stuff and I read it??? Maybe?? Many do know the strengths and weaknesses of the various platforms...yes you're right, but not you, and many also don't and would like to hear more.
  21. So now you're going to make this personal? Do I have an nanny or something? Just because you weren't offended, doesn't mean everything if fine. You're acting like your opinion is all that matters.
