December 18, 201510 yr But aren't these really shots of 'PMDG 737, FTX Global, openLC, Bologna from aerosoft, Weeze from aerosoft.'? I suspect the P3Dv3 component is minimal and similar shots could be taken in FSX/P3Dv2.... If so - how different would they be? Cheers Keith ...

December 18, 201510 yr Author Thanks guys. But aren't these really shots of 'PMDG 737, FTX Global, openLC, Bologna from aerosoft, Weeze from aerosoft.'? I maxed out every Autogenslider, have overall great performance, no VAS issues at all and I haven't edited the pictures (just removed the red EZDOK logo and the parking break logo) Philipp Schwaegerl

This is easily achievable in FSX. I see it all the time. And I didn't have to pay $200 for an FSX patch. I've never had an OOM in 5 years of FSX. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist

While that may be true, P3D has way more autogen and a substantially better framerate, plus cloud shadows, HDR , and more Philip LaBianca _____________________ "I think, therefore I am."
December 18, 201510 yr +1. P3Dv3 is beautiful. Excellent shots! Intel i-9 13900KF @ 6.0 Ghz, MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X 24GB, MSI MAG CORELIQUID C360, MSI Z790 A-PRO WIFI, MSI MPG A1000G 1000W, G.SKILL 48Gb@76000 MHz DDR5, MSI SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2TB, Windows 11 Pro Ghost Spectre x64 “We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the day and night to visit violence on those who would do us harm”.
December 18, 201510 yr While that may be true, P3D has way more autogen and a substantially better framerate, plus cloud shadows, HDR , and more Except that when you change the time from night to day or vice versa, you'll have wait for the sim to reload the textures. That's how you know that it's not full HDR. Really, you're just getting bits and pieces of improvement at $200 a pop. Imagine if Microsoft was still selling new versions flight sim and they said the next version was going to be $200. Would you be happy with what you got? Personally, I would expect something built from the ground up. It's a bit of a joke really. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
December 18, 201510 yr Author Can we please go back to the "screenshots"? Keep the Prepar3D vs FSX discussion outside this thread, thank you. I really don't care if you like P3D or not! Philipp Schwaegerl
