April 4, 201511 yr Hi there, just want to try out xplane or check whether it is time to give it a chance. I tried xplane some time ago with Rollon CRJ but was scared off because it's minimal system simulation. So quick question: are there any highly complex airplanes out there to buy with the system simulation of majestics q400, a2a or pmdg aircraft? Also are there any complex simulated helicopters like dodosim's 206? Do they support airac updates through aerosoft or navigraph? I want to have a complex system simulation, graphics are minor but a realistic sound system is crucial (no pack sounds or fan sounds are a no go if they're present in real aircraft). Just curious if it's time to give the sim a second try. Kind regards, Stefan Sondermann
April 4, 201511 yr The Flight Factor 757 is pretty good. Not quite like PMDG but up there. However, my favorites to fly are the FlyJSim 737-200 and 727-200. They surpass anything you can find in FSX for those aircraft, and that's part of the reason I fly more in X-plane because I really like the older stuff. If you like the modern stuff, then it's probably worth waiting for the PMDG stuff to come over. And IXEG is working on a 737-300 that looks incredible. As far as helicopters, X-plane has some really nice ones. IMO, much better than dodosim. I fly the Dreamfoil R22, 206 and 407; all amazing! Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
April 4, 201511 yr X-Aviation's LES Saab 340 is a fantastic systems simulated Turbo-Prop. http://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/ 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
April 4, 201511 yr +1 for Flight Factor 757. Best feel to handfly a liner in any sim (though i haven't tried the PSX747). And it's really advanced system-wise.

April 6, 201511 yr For the modern jets, the 757 is not bad, but if you're used to PMDG 737/777 quality you may be disappointed. Don't get me wrong it is fine, just think more QualityWings and CaptainSim levels. The IXEG B733 should be out later this year; although still unproven, if you watch the previews you will definitely enjoy the attention to detail (okay not exactly modern but still a few around). As for the JarDesign A320, think more Blackbox levels, it's a fair way behind the quality of the Aerosoft 'bus. I don't mean to sound negative, just trying to manage expectations. All these aircraft improve with each update so enjoy them as they are.
