Hi All,

I have ordered Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X.

Just wondering does anyone have any experience with it?

I can't find many reviews on it out there, but the general impressions seem to be great for the price. I was initially going to go with the Saitek X55, but have reservations about spending 200EUR on my first piece of hardware - this seems to be a good compromise.

Also, anyone that is using it - how do you have it configured? I think it comes with a default FSX setup, but I haven't used it yet.

Is the twist rudder any good?

Thanks,

Steve

Hello Steve, I have this throttle. I have no complaints. I paid 29US for it. I have set some calibrations through fsuipc because some aircraft don't respond to the default throttle settings. If you have the AXE 320 you may loose some hair but I finally figured that out. There isn't alot of 'forum' threads with this controller.

I have one for emergency use and use it at work when needed. Its a good basic stick.

By-the-by just bought a Thrustmaster Warthog, now thats serious class and quality. If you ever get in the position to get one go for it as its a serious bit of kit

I have the predessor to this, the Thrustmaster Top Gun. Looks the same except the one you linked to has a few added buttons on the base. Mine has been very reliable and works just fine. I also have a full CH yoke, pedals, and throttle quadrant setup which I prefer but costs much more. The twist grip rudder works fine but off course is not as nice as pedals. You may be able to control your rudder off the throttle rocker switch which may work better but I have not tried it. When I am testing and need more desk space I disconnect and remove my CH system and use the Thrustmaster as it has all the controls I need and is very convenient to move the whole setup off to the side.
