Saitek drivers updated?

Featured Replies

I'm a little confused with this link: http://www.saitek.com/uk/blog/index.php/fly-prepar3d-v2-1-with-saitek-pro-flight-simulation-range/ indicating Saitek driver update for P3D v2.x (dated 9/23/2014).

I downloaded the "new" drivers and noticed they are exactly the same as my other drivers dated June 2014.  So I ran a binary compare just to confirm they are indeed identical.

The installer version info is v4.0.100.1190.  - the SaiPanels.exe is v1.0.0.1  - nothing has changed?

The installer doesn't recognize P3D V2.x.  I still have to do the manual work around which involved editing my EXE.XML ... not a big deal, but as you can see from the link above these drivers are supposed to be P3D V2.x aware.

Would appreciate others input ... maybe there is some other secret place to find these "new" drivers?

Cheers, Rob.

Perhaps they haven't actually updated the file on their server?

I downloaded them too.  No change.

I submitted a support ticket ... lets see how that goes.

Hi Rob,

I don't use the Saitek dirvers but the SPUD Drivers. They work find in P3D. Is there any gain in using the Saitek drivers?

Cheers,

I use SPAD too.  It works great. Also LINDA and FSUIPC registered.

Thanks for the suggestions.

How do you get gear lights to work once up or down without using the Saitek driver?

I don't know what SPUD or SPAD is?  I do have Linda/FSUIPC.
