Still worth to buy FS9 addons?

Featured Replies

:-loland don't forget it will have a completely new engine which will make ALL existing addons incompatible. This includes external programs like flight planners because the flightplan format will change. There will be a mandatory subscription fee for updates to the navigation data as well as for the capability to fly online (which will now be possible only on the MSN Zone where special worldwide ATC service will be made available).Because addons are so much better than what Microsoft themselves can supply, no scenery, aircraft, weather engine, or flight planner will be included. We believe the market will soon provide these in large numbers leaving our own versions unused anyway and therefore a waste of resources to create.

For the origional post, I just updated my computer to run FS9. I always upgrade late as it costs so much money. I also just purchased LDS767. Late but for me I will use this for several years. Won't need FS10 as FS9 will do for a few years.FS9 look as real as I want it right now. JimCYWG

Totally agree!Half a year is quite a long time, you do not heed to enjoy your life and FLY many great add-ons we have on market.

Stan

I'm personally still aquiring add-ons, albeit slowly - always have been slow to jump on the bandwagon, as I try to keep FS simple and uncomplicated. This despite my love of glass cockpits, high tech airliners, etc. I tend to accumulate Mesh scenery and cockpit hardware, but I'm starting to put a few extra pennies in the cookie jar every month to save up for that super-computer that will no doubt be required to run FS10.Ciao,http://www.alaska.faa.gov/fai/Clipart/SmlAcft.gifAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MD
