MCE And VOXATC

Featured Replies

Very sorry if this has been asked b4 but will MCE take over communications with VOXATC?

I can't remember seeing this query.

Since VoxATC is a third party program, we don't interfere with it.

All MCE will do, is allow you to use the same joystick button assigned in VoxATC to prevent FO picking-up speech while you are transmitting.

FO could also remind you about your VoxATC call-sign should you forget it.

If you are mainly concerned about having two different FO voices in the cockpit, I am pleased to tell you that you won't have to.

Since MCE supports both recorded real human voices and the flexible TTS voices, just assign the same FO TTS voice you're using with VoxATC as a MCE FO voice and things will be in synch. I mean, it would look like MCE FO is handling ATC in addition to all the cockpit related stuff.

Thanks for reply. I know that mce can handle the default atc radios when Im busy but will MCE handle the radios with Radar Contact? I love the interaction with MCE but would love the FO to control ATC instructions.

David.

Yes it can. Copliot must be William or Lorna. And you must hand over the radio to them
