November 12, 201411 yr Bryan, Nine hours into my CYVR-EGLL flight, and south of Ireland, I decided innocently to save my flight so that I could restart it without some of the memory overheads gathered during a long flight. This so that I wouldn't get an OOM on approach to EGLL. Now I find that even these save files are unacceptable to FS2Crew and result in an SDK Error from which it appears impossible to escape. Is there any possibility that this restriction can be lifted in the future, or do we just have to run the very real risk of crashing flights with OOMs? November 13, 201411 yr Commercial Member PMDG uses Simconnect for their SDK, and it's sensitive to the way its loaded. There's nothing I can about Simconnect I'm afraid. Saved flights are generally a no no. However, what you can try to do is load the saved flight twice. It weird, and even the all mighty Pete Dowson has noted this on his forum, but the SDK seems to initialize properly on "alternate" load attempts. So if you get the SDK error, load the saved flight again, and it will probably work. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
November 13, 201411 yr Author Bryan, I was intending to test with my saved flight multiple times this morning in order to determine whether I could get some pattern identified re reloading saved flights. But using my saved flight, I am receiving the FSX/PMDG message 'Error loading GPS_Engine. The flight plan will not be used'. OK-ing that always gives me a flight where FS2Crew produces the SDK Error. So I am unable to test the hypothesis that alternate load attempts might work.
