I'm not ready for Vector yet...

Recommended Posts

Since a complete reinstall of FSX and Orbx North American sceneries a couple weeks ago I have had nothing but trouble with Vector.

The elevation problems with Seattle and Palm Springs were fixed but new ones keep cropping up.

One of my big complaints when Vector first came out was the complete absence of the Pelly River in the Yukon.  That's been fixed with update 2 but now the terrain around Faro is all messed up with streams and rivers in canyons and lakes in deep craters where they are supposed to be in a broad rather flat valley.  The Faro Airport and the lake beside it is also in a crater of sorts.

Now maybe my system is at fault, I don't know, but I prefer flying as opposed to tweaking software.  Perhaps the problems could be solved by re-arranging the order of scenery library entries but that could cause even more problems.  I've decided to get rid of Vector completely since I seldom fly outside the Western North America.

Also a hint for those who limit their flying to familiar regions instead of the entire world and want some airliner traffic for major airports in primarily that area.  I decided not to install my copy of Ultimate Traffic 2 and instead download WOAI airliner traffic for those airlines that serve my area of interest.  It works fine for me with lots of airliners in proper livery in Rocky Mountain and Pacific Coast regions of North America and a bonus of quite a bit of corporate jet activity.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.
