PHNL problem

Recommended Posts

In Honolulu international airport The plane goes around the airport (the island) and approaches then lands on the runway. In real life, it goes over the airport then lands on the runway. Is there any way I can do this?

Consult the STARS and Approach plates for PHNL. I use aeroplanner.com.

What I mean is ATC directs me/AI to go around the island to land but what I want is a straight in landing not a round the island first then landing.

That would indicate that you're coming from the "wrong direction", i.e. the active runways are in the opposite direction of where you're coming from. Could that be? In that case, the solution would be to adjust the wind at PHNL, so that you encounter a headwind on your desired straight on approach.
